HS Lockdown?

Got a report from a reader that there is a lockdown at the HS this morning. No word as of yet on the reason.

I heard it was a routine drill.

I later heard it was a 'routine' drug sweep with k-9's.

When did that become 'routine'?

Funny, my niece on Sunday was telling me about the number of k-9 drug sweeps and wondering about the cost...

It was a non emergency lockdown . . . Students were not allowed out of the classrooms while the Administration conducted a random locker search . . . No K-9's were bought into the building . . . There are normally 2 or 3 of these searches a year . . . . No educational time was lost due to this search . . .

Wayne, I do not believe there would be any cost for this. I would think that the officer and dog are already on duty in the township.

Scott,

That makes sense. We were talking about school budget woes and she thought a lot went into NASD drug searches. Is it effective?
