Lots to do in the borough today:

Proceeds benefit the Nazareth Center for the Arts and each garden features an artist and musician. Brenton's Hope Benefit Concert: Starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Nazareth Center for the Arts, Bill McConney will perform for 45 minutes and then Kim and Ed Rhoades take the stage to perform original and cover songs ranging through blues, pop, folk, jazz and some country. The Great Nazareth Carnival: Need I say more? At the Borough Park, carnival rides, food, games, and lots of fun! Proceeds benefit the Borough Fire Department.

Rifle Frolic 2011: The Jacobsburg Historical Society presents Rifle Frolic 2011. Today (10 - 5 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) All museums will be open. Special activities just for children! Visit the John Joseph Henry House and Summer Kitchen to glimpse at how generations of Henrys lived over a period of 150 years. At the Pennsylvania Longrifle Museum, learn the family's role in local and national early American industrial history through their work as gunsmiths. Don't miss the special exhibit of Civil War era firearms, courtesy of Robert Newell, Jr. Witness a master gunsmith demonstrate how to make a Pennsylvania Longrifle in the restored Nicholas Hawk gunshop. And experience the sites and sounds of the American Fur Trade era by walking through the Fur Trade era encampment. Food concessions available - bring the family and stay for the whole day! $5 per person, children 12 and under free. Members of the Jacobsburg Historical Society also free - ask at the gate about membership!

And if you're like me, you'll be spending your day indoors at a dance recital, I'll be at Zoellner for Art of Dance's "Don't Touch That Dial", which is about the best father's day you can receive from your daughters. I know there is also one taking place at Nazareth HS and I'm sure there are several more in the area as it is that time of year.

Enjoy this beautiful day!
