Fogel Seeks Reduced Sentence

Eleven days into her 9 to 23 months in County Prison, Nicole Fogel is requesting work release according to both the Express-Times (read it here) and Morning Call (read it here).

The Nazareth resident was convicted of embezzling nearly $120,000 from the County where she worked as a clerk and used the money to purchase a car, trips, and gifts for her boyfriend.

The Judge denied the request noting he would follow standard prison procedure according to the Morning Call and the Express-Times article notes that Fogel's sentence was less than what the state had wanted for the 1 felony and 112 misdemeanor charges she was convicted of.
