Pole to Pole - The Nazareth Council Workshop

I was unable to make the Council Workshop meeting last night at the last minute as I was trying to rearrange the contents of my garage in the rain to fit a piece of furniture that was replaced in our house, but today's article by JD Malone of the Express-Times indicated the topic of the night were poles (read it here).

The first primary discussion was lighting the new building's parking lot. Flood lights off the back vs. a Pole light. The issue is money and effectiveness. Flood would be cheaper, but might not be as effective. Poles would be more effective but would come with more cost.

The second discussion concerned the pole that is used for the siren. The current one is 10 feet short for the maximum effectiveness of the new siren. The options were to buy a new pole, again cost, or put in for a used telephone pole, which would be free but could take months.

Sorry I didn't have more to report, but glad at JD was there to let us know what happened in the Express-Times.
