According to a Yahoo! Press Announcement dated June 8, 2006, from the office of Governor Ed Rendell, Nazareth Borough will receive a recycling grant in the amount of $11,974.00 from the State of Pennsylania.
The announcement opens stating:
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell today announced almost $3.7 million in recycling performance grants to 195 Pennsylvania communities for their recycling efforts in 2004.
Nazareth was the only Nazareth area municipality to receive money (Lower & Upper Nazareth, Stockertown, Tatamy and Bushkill were not listed as recipients).
