Here is the new "campus" map:
Pardon the image size/resolution, as I had to convert it from the PDF, but in short, here is what is going to happen:
- Current HS Library (known today as a media center) is being converted into classrooms.
- The new Media Center will be moved to the current HS Gymnasium.
- The new Gymnasium will be located in a new athletics building adjacent to the "old middle school" that now houses the admin on the main floor and classrooms on the top floor for the HS.
- The football stadium will be renovated.
- A new all-weather track will be added where the fields along Friedenstahl Avenue, along with three soccer/field hockey fields, and two softball fields.
- The current Middle School will be converted to an Intermediate School.
- The Middle School will be moved into a new Building off Mitchell Avenue where the parkling lot now exists.
- The current field hockey/soccer field will be turned into a parking lot.
- Outside this map, the Maintenance Facility is currently under construction behind the current MS, soon to be intermediate school, and parking expansion is taking place at Lower Nazareth Elementary.
What do you think? Is Nazareth in need of $50 million in school district building? Can it handle these increases? If we stay on property tax just how much of an impact will this have on those with a fixed income?

It will require a 2.4 mill increase. Great. And with the cost of a new municipal building if they go over budget, where will we get the $$ --- Should we pull it ou ot our ears?
Imagine for a moment, the 15% contingency built into the municipal center proposal would equate to $7.5M for the district building project.
Moreover, the additional land and buildings will require significantly more maintenance and staff on an annual basis.
As best I could tell this was ONLY to build the structures. Again I haven't been to those meetings, so I can't say for certain.
Thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts,
