There is not much new in the article except that the parties did meet. No one gave any information regarding specifics of the meeting or when they anticipate the fact finder presenting his findings (11/22 seems to stick in my mind as the date) and from that point in time each side will have 10 days to accept or decline.
Board President Don Keller stated:
"Up to this point we've sort of been negotiating with ourselves. (The union) came in with one number and refused to modify that number,"From what I've observed throughout this process regardless of what anyone has to say about the NASD's tactics, this statement does seem to ring true and its a shame if it is. The NAEA has given a lot of reasons why they don't like what was offered, but not once have they put to the public this is what we want. Let's hope the fact-finder does a good job and takes into consideration many of the observations people have made here for both sides, as well as the taxpayers, and the students.
