3 Candidates Declared for District Judge

According to an article in the Morning Call (read it here) a third candidate has entered the race for the vacant district judge position formerly held by Elmo Fry.

Mark Franczak of Nazareth joins Yvonne A. Falcone, Bangor, and Todd Buskirk according to the report.

The 2007 elections will feature municipal races including many seats on Borough Council and the Nazareth School Board.

On Thursday, February 8, 2007, NewsOverCoffee will be presenting a free, one hour non-partisan program "Resident to Candidate" that will provide attendees with information regarding the nuts and bolts of becoming a candidate. You will learn what you need to do, when you need to do it, and what to expect once you become a candidate and elected official.

Current elected officials who are not up for re-election in 2007 will be joined by Democratic and Republican Party officials to provide insight and answer questions from the audience. The Elections Office will have materials and information to help make becoming a candidate as easy as possible.

If you ever considered running for local office, or want to learn how to recruit a friend or neighbor to do so, come out and join us at the Nazareth News Agency on Thursday, February 8, 2007 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
