Letter Supporting Calandras in Morning Call

A letter to the editor supporting the Calandra family as they try to fight the NASD from utilizing eminent domain to take six acres for use as practice fields at the new MS building appeared in the Morning Call today (read it here).

Obviously this subject has drawn quite a bit of attention on this site and Mr. Keller's comments in the Express-Times about the use of Eminent Domain in this case raised the possibility that it will be reconsidered at the upcoming Board meeting on Monday, February 12.

Similar to the comment I made in regard to the pool yesterday, I'm going to keep future links to articles and thoughts on this subject within the comments of this post instead of creating a new post on the home page each new letter or thought on the subject until the meeting. In this way information other than the eminent domain will be posted on the home page, so check back here for updates.

And don't forget, if you do want to see a change in regard to any issue, it's great (and much appreciated) to share it here and see what support you have, but it will only be heard by officials if you attend the meeting where the decisions are made.

Extremely well put letter and voice of support on the Calandra family's land. Hopefully, this charge of eminent domain by NASD can be stopped and the land will remain with its rightful owners.
