Template Issue

Two readers brought to my attention a recent change they noticed when viewing NOC that resulted in having to scroll to the right.

While I haven't made any changes to the template, it seems those using Internet Explorer now need to scroll to the right to read many of the articles.

I had not experienced this with Firefox but did yesterday when viewing through IE. I will try to fix it over the weekend. I'm not a programmer so I may simply go to a new template. If the site looks different, or doesn't work, please don't hesitate to email me at editor@newsovercoffee.com.

Have a great weekend,

Ross

Thanks ross....it's been driving me crazy. I thought it was my computer or something. I've been clicking on the comments for each article to return the page to readable size.

I never noticed it myself as I use Firefox, but when I looked in IE yesterday I understood what was being described.

Strange thing is it happened to me on the News site, but not Activities and Books and they all use the same template (unless I made some mistake creating them).

Will see what happens, but I get it and am looking into it.

From what my friend has uncovered it looks like in the Library funding post there is a bit of code, pre wrap="", that is causing the problem. Informal tests show when that's removed the wrapping issue is resolved. The fix may be to go into and edit that post, view HTML and delete that bit of code.

Many that to you and your friend.

I removed the code (must have been picked up as I was pasting from the email responses), republished the blog, and when I viewed it with IE 7 it fit my screen nicely with no scrolling necessary.

If anyone continues to experience any problems please let me know.

Have a great weekend!

Ross

Brad, You've been sitting through school board meetings for months - case closed;-)

Also, I did upgrade to a new version of Blogger, which as you'll see now includes tags. Not sure how these work so I will continue to update the article index as I have in the past.

If anyone sees anything else that doesn't seem right, let me know. And thanks again to those who helped identify both issue, problem, and how to fix it.

Have a great weekend,

Ross
