Each month I expect the number of site of visitors to level off. I feel this way simply because in the beginning I estimated out of the 30,000 residents in the NASD area, given our demographics, about 14,860 of them go online (I calculated this by comparing demographics to Pew life and internet research). I figured if I hit 20% of that number or about 3000 unique visitors in a month, I'd be doing great.
February's results are in and the total was staggering to me - 7,757 unique visitors. Also had a peak single day record of 446 unique visitors (want to guess what drew that interest?).
February's numbers are double those of November, which was double September, which was triple July, which was double June, which was double May (I started posting late March - so the one year birthday party is coming up;-).
Now I also understand that there is other traffic hitting the site (bots, spider, etc), but the continued growth tells me that people are telling their friends and that is great.
Will all these readers and a growing number of people commenting, please feel free to contact me (editor@newsovercoffee.com) with reports of meetings you attend (can be as simple as a few bullet items of the most important things discussed). These can be clubs and organizations, service groups, civic groups, as well as governmental meetings and committee meetings.
The more community information we can pull to this single location, the more valuable the site will become and the better it will be for the communities in general.
Thanks again to everyone who has read, posted, commented, emailed, and told their friends and families.
Have a great weekend,
Ross
