2007 Livestrong Day
Received a note from Nazareth resident Sally Santi, who on May 16, 2007 joined the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) in Washington, DC to demand support for the Cancer Screening, Treatment and Survivorship Act of 2007. The goal of the legislation is to expand access to early detection and corresponding early treatment and survivorship services.
Santi was one of 200 advocates who joined Lance Armstrong to participate in LIVESTRONG Day, the LAF's annual grassroots advocacy initiative to unite people affected by cancer and raise awareness about cancer issues.
You can learn more about LAF by visiting www.livestrong.org
Special thanks to Will Swetnam, Synectics International, Inc. for forwarding the photo.
