Nazareth Day Saturday
Seemed like even more people than normal turned out for Nazareth Day at the Borough Park on Saturday, possibly a result of the good weather.
We had a nice time looking at the crafts and hearing music from the gazebo. The kids loved the K-9 rescue stand, especially the St. Bernard, they got free tatoos from Homestead Kennels, and had a light lunch from the refreshment stand. While they ate we listened to the Community Band in the now roofed stage. Some free popcorn afterward was a hit with our younger daughter.
After a few hours time we strolled back toward the entrance.
All in all it was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. We saw more than a few familiar faces and caught with some people we hadn't seen in a while.
Hope everyone had a great time as well.

got a shot of nazzy pride this wknd
with naz day ---the circle was a great place to hang out, eat, hear music---big rtbr floats for a buck form giant--free popcorn from one of the banks--kids did the jump, dunk tank thing for a buck each---took a free trolley ride followed by free pony rides ala naz vet---
then fireworks that were very very impressive-----and free!
tonight there was music in the park---again free!
all these activities made me proud to be part of nazareth --- always like finding fun without the proverbial soaking that seems to run amok in the summer with 3 kids ---
What a great weekend indeed. The weather was out of this world! I didn't get to make it into town for any real soak time — two back to back baby b-days this weekend — but wow, those fireworks were impressive, and I was watching from out near Gracedale!
The fireworks were great. As you could see from the time and date on my own post I didn't spend much time in doors this weekend.
From our front walks we had the best view of the fireworks yet (don't know if someone cut a tree down or they were shot from a slighly different locale).
Many thanks to the Vigilance Fire Company for this donation to the community and to everyone else who worked to make the sidewalk sales, block party, and Nazareth Day a great series of events!
