For those who love politics

While we have a local election coming up in November, most interest appears to be focused on the 2008 Presidential candidates.

To help get a better understanding of this race, I wanted to share two sites I found:
  • Wonkosphere - This site attempts to harness the blogosphere as it relates to the election and appears to do a nice job from a cursory glance.
  • PolitiFact - This site is a project of the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly and it attempts to measure the truth/accuracy/facts from candidates and their materials.

Do you know of a site that attempts to cut through the clutter to inform or alert? Let me know and I'll post them for others to view or put them in the comments.

Also, what do you think of these sites? Is it possible to measure truth? Is it valuable to know who is being talked about online? How much help will these sites provide?
