"It was funny"

The Morning Call has a follow-up on the two "men" who threw an explosive device at the road crew (read it here). In it the article notes the two faced different charges because the driver, Bajan, never handled the device, whereas Hewitt admitted he built it and threw it at the crew because the "men thought it was funny."

The article indicated the following:
On Wednesday, Colonial Regional police identified the chemical used to make
the device as magnesium. According to various Web sites, lighting or exploding
magnesium oxide can cause serious skin and eye burns.

And referred to it as a "Toilet bowl cleaner bomb".

Personally, I think it would be funny if they were charged under the Patriot act as terrorist and sent to Gitmo

Actually since the so-called Patriot Act has rendered the 4th Amendment obsolete, they can just be declared enemy-combatants and shipped to Gitmo without trial or even subpoena.

The true Patriots who founded this country and gave us the Constitution pledged their fortunes and very lives to fight just such abuses of power from a man named George.
