Winter Wonderland
The first good snowfall was well-timed with the start of my vacation.
Since the kids couldn't wait to get outside, and since I'd finished the book I was reading the night before (The Good Thief read the review here), we decided to walk to the library. It was about 11 a.m. when we headed out.
There were a few, but not too many vehicles on the road. Excepting the mailman's footprints, ours were mostly the only one's we encountered. Mitch was out clearing the walks infront of Mitch's Market, but other than that we seemed to be the only ones venturing outdoors.
The kids had fun throwing snowballs as we walked and at the library there were only a few people.
We all got new books then headed back home. The kids had fun outside building a fort, sledding in their tobaggon, and having mini-snowball fights, while I prepared the garage to set up the train.
Unfortunately, I never quite got to shoveling any snow, so now I'm heading out to take care of business.
