Interestingly enough, as I lay in bed this morning, waiting for my hubby to get up and get going for his commute to Newark, I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if there were an alert system so that we would know about traffic problems before Jay had to leave for work." WFMZ provides traffic updates, but they don't start until 6:00 a.m., and he's on the road by then. What d'ya know? I check out NOC this morning, and there's info about the Northampton County Emergency Alert system, which includes traffic, weather, Amber Alerts, and other important updates. I signed up right away -- hope you do, too!
