Weekly Blogosphere Round-Up

Time for the weekly round-up of the blogs from or about the Nazareth area:

Andy’s Fan Page is again chock filled with sports, but I noticed Andy has been reposting more content related to areas of interest such as the Top 50 Sports Broadcasters of all-time, news department stories, and of course continued coverage of our State Budget Debacle.  I have to thank Andy for sending me updates following Friday’s game, but have to admit I steered clear of the laptop as I was watching the game on tape-delay and didn’t want to know the outcome.

Clonehenge this week has a clockhenge, cinderblock-henge, garbage henge, and has announced a contest to find new henge’s.  Problem for me is dates are not provided instead entries are based on the autumn equinox and winter solstice – am wondering if that has anything to do with changing my clock by an hour around Halloween?  Contest details are available on the site – good luck all!

From House to Home is feeling blue, or at least is feeling the blue door is a bit much.  Have a look and let her know.  There are before and after shots along with the reasoning, but the way the post reads I won’t be surprised to find she changed it next week!

Joe, from the Steaming Cup of Joe, must have used up all his vacation time this summer as for the second straight week he’s made a considerable number of posts.  This week he opens with an announcement regarding a new base for the LehighValleyLive.com web site which will probably result in some glitches now, but a better experience later.  He also notes that (surprise) our state leaders have pulled one over on the public with increased taxes, he has an issue with spell-checkers, and that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is running out of worthy entrants.

Lehigh Valley Ramblings’ Bernie O’hare is considering comment moderation, the post is there, I checked twice.  He also has apparently been deleting comments.  If you’ve read Bernie’s posts and the comments left up, you can only imagine the stuff he’s taken down.  Many posts on the 15th Congressional race as well as others across Northampton and Lehigh Counties.

As posted earlier this week, Weird Nazareth is holding a pumpkin carving contest.  Full details and entry info is available on the site.  Considering how many people put pumpkins out to display, I’m hoping they have a great turnout.  I know we’ll be sending some entries in.

Have a great week everyone!

Oops, sorry about that! You're not the only one who asked for clarification. I guess I hang around with too many Stonehenge fanatics and assume everyone remembers this obscure stuff from school. Winter solstice is December 21st this year, so send in your henges by then. Thanks for the good words as always, Ross!
