Received a press announcement indicating that Joe Emrick, of Upper Nazareth Township, is running for State Representative in the 137th District. Emrick previously ran for this seat in 2004. The seat will be openly contested due to current Rep. Rich Grucella’s announcement that he would not be seeking a new term (read the post here).
An official announcement from Emrick has been tentatively set for February 4 according to the release.
Emrick is currently the Chairman of the Upper Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors. He has set up a Web site: www.joeemrick.com, however, attempts to access the site as of this post were met with an error message, expect this to be up and running in the near future.
