NASD Budget

The Morning Call now has an article on the NASD budget (read it here).

Unlike the Express-Times article noted earlier, this one states the budget is balanced this year, but that the district is looking at a $1.8M deficit the following year.

It notes that all day K will be implemented by moving a teacher to that level (also noted in an earlier post). Though again, given the current economic environment, adding a new program that is not required, nor proven to be of benefit to the education of a student is questionable.

The article also notes that district wide enrollment could be down as much as 150 students next year.
