According to the Express-Times, Lower Nazareth Township officials voted against the solar field the NASD wanted to install in the fields of Lower Nazareth Elementary School (read the article here).
The Supervisors felt it should have gone to Zoning Hearing Board, and the solicitor noted the NASD should have been more forthcoming with information. Apparently the district will be leasing the solar panels from the private energy company, not owning them.
The NASD voted to hire an attorney to explore legal options against the township.
