Reasons number 11 thru 16. I run the counnty and I do not listen to anyone. No Union is going to tell me what to do. I really don't care where the residents or employess go, again, I run the county! Gracedale is my sacraficial cow, I am going to sell it no matter what anyone says, even the other council poeple, agian, I run the county. I am bigger than GOD and I love to put poeple out of work. After this is all done, please re-elect me so I can finish destroying Northampton County.

Doing the math, the taxpayers are paying more for a facility that is declining in usage.

With a sale, the county benefits by gaining monies from the sale of the property, lose the ongoing (and rising) operating costs, while the taxpayers of Northampton County, Nazareth Area School District and Upper Nazareth Township win with a large influx of tax revenue.

The current residents win by keeping their existing residence, and one could argue, potentially better care.

The only loser in this transaction would be the union.

The benefits far outweigh the negatives, so selling this property makes all the sense in the world.
