County Council voted last evening to move ahead in order to gain more information on options to sell or lease Gracedale, the County Nursing home, located in Upper Nazareth Township. Both the Express-Times (read it here) and Morning Call (read it here) report on the meeting that had over 150 people in attendance. Those against the sale cite loss of quality care, those in favor cite less cost to the county. The major cost is in employee salary, benefits, and pensions.
