Snow Days Under Fire

The Morning Call has an article based on recent school closings and Governor Rendell’s recent controversial comments about the postponement of an Eagle’s game due to snow (read it here).

Quoted extensively is NASD superintendent Vic Lesky.

The most mentioned comment is that people are more concerned about safety today than they once were.

One perspective that was not included is – who cares? At the end of the day, does it really matter if the kids miss a couple of days of school due to snow? They are going to make them up, they go the same number of days no matter what. No more, no less.
