The sinkhole apparently sunk several times according to this blog post in the Morning Call (read it here).
It is hoped that the most recent solution will solve the problem, of course it is to rain all day today and into the evening, so this may be a good test.
According to this post initially 2 lanes of the new track were damaged and later all six were impacted.
