3rd Ward Council Candidates Wanted

Well, maybe wanted sounds a bit Wild West and criminal. In fact I am simply posting based on the required advertisement made in this week's US Newspaper by the Borough of Nazareth to fill the vacated Council seat of Michael Davis.

According to the advertisement:

The Borough of Nazareth is seeking candidates for the office of Councilperson to serve until the first Monday in January, 2008. Specifics and requirements follow below.

Term of Office: October 2, 2006 through the first Monday in January 2008

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Canddiate must be a resident of the Borough's Third Ward.
  2. A resume of the applicant's qualifications for the office must be presented to the Borough Secretary by 4:00 p.m., September 25, 2006 - send or drop-off at 30 Belvidere Street municipal office.
  3. A statement of the reasons why the applicant seeks the appointment must be presented to the Borough Secretary, by 4:00 pm September 25, 2006 - send or drop-off at 30 Belvidere Street municipal office.
  4. Candidate agrees to appear at a "special meeting" called for and properly advertised by Council, to be held on September 28, 2006 at 6:00 pm at Council Chambers, 159 West Center Street

It seems to me you are in the third ward. What do you say? I say you should go for it.

I'll be honest, I don't know the geographical boundaries of the wards. Can someone define them? Where is the third ward?

I am in the 3rd ward. And Davis was on Prospect, and I do know that South Street is in the 3rd.

I don't know the entire ward boundaries but you could probably say at least those living south of Prospect are included.

We have been moved in this area, beginning in 3rd, moving to 2nd, and now back in the 3rd so if you are checking your voting card make sure its the most recent one.
