Media Action of the Lehigh Valley Launches

Media Action of the Lehigh Valley recently launched its online space (visit their site here). This is not technically a Nazareth organization, however, it is an important one for those interested in local media.

Operating as a not-for-profit organization, the group is guided by media professors from Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg College and community members. Their goal is simple - to promote media and democracy locally and at the national level.

Since launching this site I have been in contact with one of the organizers of the group and believe this organization will really help independent media and bloggers better understand the political issues that could impact them severely - like Net Neutrality.

Their site not only includes issues they are following and examining, but also lists local media outlets organized by type from television, radio and print dailies to the blogs and the podcasts.

Take a moment to check this site out as I believe it will be a great addition to the Lehigh Valley and could become invaluable to sites like this one and its readers in the future.
