Nazareth Downtown Association Meeting 4-16-07

The Nazareth Downtown Association met on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nazareth YMCA.

There were twenty people in attendance and a full agenda was discussed. Frank Frey presided and outlined the next steps required of the organization. There are twelve individuals who have indicated their interest in serving on the Board of Directors.

• I volunteered to head a Nominating Committee that includes Peg Ferraro and Aggie Koe. The Nominating Committee is charged with bringing recommendations to the Board at the next meeting to determine Board Officers.
• By-Laws were reviewed by the group and final edits will be discussed at the next meeting.
• John Dusinski will head a group that will work to complete the business inventory for the Downtown Profile.
• The Promotion Committee, headed by Karen Trionfo will meet prior to the next meeting to discuss the wording and themes for the vision, mission, and slogan of the organization.
• All members were asked to consider area residents and business leaders to serve on the Advisory Board.
• And members were asked to give consideration to determine what process will be followed to create the five year strategic plan.

The next meeting will be on May 21, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nazareth YMCA (use the front entrance). If you are interested in learning more about the group or participating on one of the committees, contact me or stop by the next meeting!
